Dental Access Centre
Bury Dental Access Centre was established on August 2001 to redress the provision of primary dental care for patients wishing to access emergency care provision. In conjunction with the provision of daytime emergency care the centre is also utilised in the provision of emergency Out of Hours scheme. The centre is managed and operated by a dedicated team of experienced dental nurses and receptionists.
Patients accessing the centre will receive such treatment as is clinically necessary to alleviate their presenting condition. This will not usually constitute a course of treatment. After completion of the required treatment needs, patients are given the necessary information to access a NHS dentist to complete the required necessary care.
Since the introduction of the new dental contract all relevant patient charges and associated information is available.
