Looked After Children Service
The Looked After Children's service is a service offered by Community Services Bury to advise and support employees with regards to children who are 'looked after' i.e within the care of the local authority. the service also aims:
- To ensure that the statutory responsibilities for children looked after are met.
To facilitate/undertake full health assessments, implement health action plans and evaluate outcomes.
To ensure that Looked after children gain the maximum life chance benefits from health care.
- To plan and deliver training to foster carers/relevant professionals within the organisation and multi-agency colleagues.
- To inform relevant professionals within the organisation of the specific needs of children who are looked after.
