Our service

The Children's Community Nursing Service for Bury offers specialised care by experienced children's nurses.

The service is available for all children and young people living in the Bury area.

The aim of the service is to provide high quality care to children, young people and their families closer to home. The service aims to deflect hospital admissions and reduce hospitals stays.

This is achieved by providing children, young people, parents and carers with advice, education, counselling and nursing care within the home environment.

The team also liaise regularly with GP’s, consultants, health visitors, school nurses and hospital staff.

We care for children with the following:

  • Asthma
  • Eczema/skin care issues
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Gastrostomy
  • Naso-gastric feeding
  • Tracheostomy
  • Wounds
  • Orthopaedic
  • Constipation
  • Complex needs
  • Home oxygen
  • Diabetes
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • IV/IM/Sub cut therapy
  • Oncology
  • Cardiology
  • Neurology/Epilepsy
  • Nephrology

We are available seven days a week
Monday – Friday
8am – 8pm

Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays
8am – 6pm
