Freedom of information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 applies to NHS Bury, as it does to all other public authorities/NHS bodies (which includes GPs, Dentists, Chemists and Opticians).
The Act gives a general right of access to all types of information held by us. If you request information from us you do not need to have any particular reason for asking, but it might help us to identify and provide you with the information you need if you can be as specific as possible.
There will normally be no charge for making a request for information, which is contained within the publication scheme (with the exception of a few specific documents).
Information published on our website can be viewed/downloaded free of charge. Most documents are also available for inspection free of charge at NHS Bury offices.
You may get photocopies of most documents. However charges may be applied if significant amounts of work or copying of printed material is required.
Requesting Information
If you wish to make a request for information, you can either make your request using our FOI request form email us at bur-pct.enquiries@nhs.net or post your request in writing to our FOI Manager, at NHS Bury, 21 Silver Street, Bury, BL9 0EN.
Minimum Information
To ensure your request is processed as swiftly as possible please ensure any request contains:
- Your name
- An address for correspondence
- Clear description of the information you require
