John Boyington becomes joint Managing Director of the North East Sector
After a short period of consultation the Board of NHS Greater Manchester decided earlier this month to create sub-clusters to better coordinate local leadership during the transition to Clinical Commissioning Groups and the National Commissioning Board.
Arrangements for NE Manchester have been framed around the existing NE Sector to include NHS Bury, NHS Oldham and NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.
John Boyington CBE will assume responsibility as Managing Director for the patch and he is currently discussing with senior colleagues how to better organise top management resources across the sector.
John formally assumes his wider responsibilities from August 1st and hopes to have new top management arrangements in place by September 1st.
John said “This is a challenging but exciting time for the NHS and I am delighted to be able to lead the health communities of North East Manchester as we work hard towards the new NHS management arrangements”.
